Self-assessments allow you to perform an internal LQA audit for yourself or your colleagues in order to continuously be aware of areas for improvement.
Starting from your hotel dashboard, follow the steps below to create, edit or delete a self-assessment. Self-assessments can be used to assess either single or multiple departments, or the entire hotel.
Click ‘Self Assessments’ and from the drop down menu select ‘New Self Assessment’:
First, assign this to a user, already set up on the LQA platform, by typing their name into the appropriate field. Continue by selecting whether it will be a full audit or whether individual departments are going to be assessed:
You will then be required to select a ‘Due Date’. Additional information should be entered into the ‘Subject’ and ‘Notes’ fields:
Click on ‘Create New Assessment’ and you will return to the Self Assessments overview page, where you can view and start your assessment or view the summary page. To get started, click ‘Start’:
Clicking ‘Start’ will open the assessment tool, and from here you can complete the self-assessment.
You can navigate between the departments by scrolling through on the left of the screen.
Please note that only the departments selected in the self assessment when assigned will appear and any standards marked ‘not met’ require a comment in the appropriate field to explain why.
When you click on a department, enter the time and/or date where applicable and scroll down the standards and click to mark as ‘met’, ‘not met’ or ‘not applicable’.
Once all the standards are marked, at the bottom of the screen you can select an engagement rating from the drop-down box before choosing a primary emotion from the three options available.
Further comments can be written in the ‘Emotional Summary’ along with any positives, negatives or recommendations.
When a section is complete, you must click ‘Save’ at the bottom of the page and wait for the ‘Assessment Updated’ notification to appear at the top centre of the screen before clicking anywhere else.
Continue this process for all the departments on your self assessment, navigating between them by clicking on the sections on the left hand panel:
General notes for help in completing an assessment:
Once you have completed your full self-assessment and saved it, scroll to the top of the screen and click ‘Self Assessments’ which will return you to the overview page. From here you can identify the completion status of the assessment, or continue to ‘view’ or ‘edit’ again:
Alternatively, you can click ‘Summary’ to view the summary page which will show you an overview of all the departments in the self assessment. This includes the overall score, the department scores and the emotional ratings.
